This little studded dress is a play on the 40s versions. This look had a bit of a revival during the sixties and normally the versions from that time period that you find have just a touch or detailing of stud work. This one however is heavily covered with varying sized gold faceted studs with a denser application of them running through the waist line and hem. The cut is a simple, feminine little flared skirt dress with no sleeves and a defined waist. The bodice is is cut to skim over the bust and nips into a waist that is set slightly high nut not quite as high as an empire waist would be. The skirt flares out from there. Over the entire surface of the white cotton pique, waffle weave fabric are gold faceted studs, each individually placed by hand. They are scattered over the entire dress and set in a more densely spaced formation for extra detailing at the waist and hem. A really fabulous little dress. Excellent overall condition
Fully lined in a white silky rayon lined and closes with a back painted metal zipper. There is a slight grubbiness along the edges of the seams bit I am being extremely picky. Slight patina to the gold on the studs but I see no missing studs.
